Rewind to early Nov and a conversation with a friend/business associate, he very kindly gave recommendations and honest advice based on challenges of his own as a business owner. He shared with me a back story of resilience and a strategy that helped him bounce back from potential collapse over a decade ago and how, what he did made a big difference when he needed it most and how it could help me… above all, he offered encouragement for what was to happen next.
A video message to be shared with my client audience — it needed to be short, full of emotion and unapologetic in a request for help – above all bursting with gratitude.
After some hours of planning and preparation, I had the perfect script, now I needed the perfect production and when it comes to filming, I knew the perfect man for the Job, step forward Mr David Hogg of Horizon Imaging – At short notice David squeezed me into his already packed schedule without hesitation and only words of ‘yes I can do that’ ‘when do you need me’ and ‘what else can I do to help you’ followed in a late night whatsapp conversation.
Days later David arrived at my apartment with an assortment of lighting, multiple cameras and some advanced technology to enhance the overall production and to truly make the most of the project. It was so much more than a single camera and light setup (which I thought would have been fine for such a last minute project).
Filming was quick, easy and hassle-free. David did a great job in ensuring the presentation was calm, calculated and relaxed with some light direction as filming began on where to improve – Above all else, the final edit, complete with graphics was ready on the same day and in my inbox shortly before 6.00pm. The video message went out to all clients on Wednesday evening, and apart from needing a better looking (slightly slimmer) presenter – its safe to say this project was everything I had in my mind.
